WindowSeat Terms of Use and Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the WindowSeat™ app and related services (the “Service”), operated by Whatsoever, LLC d/b/a WindowSeat™, located at 16051 Addison Rd, Suite 300, Addison, TX 75001.
By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or have parental/guardian consent if you are 13 or older) to create an account. The Service is designed for families. All content is accessed through a parent or guardian’s account.
3. The Service
WindowSeat is a curated audio content app for Christian families. We provide stories, music, devotionals, and other audio content selected by our editorial team. All content on WindowSeat is chosen and provided by us—users do not upload, post, or share content within the app.
We may update, modify, or remove content or features at any time without notice. We use reasonable efforts to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
4. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us at support@windowseat.com.
Your account may include child profiles, which are managed by you as the account holder. You are responsible for all usage under these profiles.
5. Subscriptions and Billing
WindowSeat offers both free and paid subscription options. Paid subscriptions are purchased and managed entirely through Apple’s App Store or Google Play. All billing, renewals, and cancellations are handled by the respective platform.
To cancel a subscription, follow the cancellation process in your device’s app store settings. WindowSeat does not process payments directly and cannot issue refunds—refund requests should be directed to Apple or Google.
We may offer free trials or promotional pricing from time to time. Trial eligibility and terms will be disclosed at the time of the offer. Unless cancelled before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan at the price disclosed during sign-up.
6. Content and Intellectual Property
All content available through the Service—including audio, text, graphics, logos, and trademarks—is owned by or licensed to WindowSeat. You may not copy, redistribute, record, or create derivative works from any content on the Service.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.
7. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to: reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the app or its content; use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access the Service; circumvent any access restrictions or security measures; share your account credentials with others outside your household; or use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, REGARDING THE SERVICE, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WINDOWSEAT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU HAVE PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $30, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
10. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association in Dallas, Texas, in accordance with their Consumer Arbitration Rules. You agree to waive any right to participate in a class action or class-wide arbitration.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Apple-Specific Terms
If you downloaded the WindowSeat app from Apple’s App Store or are using it on an iOS device, the following additional terms apply:
These Terms are between you and Whatsoever, LLC d/b/a WindowSeat™ only—not with Apple, Inc. (“Apple”). Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content.
Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support services for the app.
In the event the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the applicable purchase price for the app (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app.
Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the app or your use of it, including: (a) product liability claims, (b) any claim that the app fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement, (c) claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation, and (d) claims related to intellectual property infringement.
Apple is not responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, or discharge of any third-party claim that the app or your possession and use of it infringes that third party’s intellectual property rights.
You agree to comply with any applicable third-party terms when using the app (for example, your wireless data service agreement).
Apple, and Apple’s subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how Whatsoever, LLC d/b/a WindowSeat™ (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use the WindowSeat app and related services (the “Service”).
WindowSeat is designed for families. Accounts are created and managed by parents or guardians. Children access the Service through a parent’s account and do not create their own accounts or provide personal data directly to us.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. You may also provide your child’s name and age when setting up child profiles within your account.
Information collected automatically
When you use the Service, we automatically collect certain data, including: device information (device type, operating system, app version), usage data (listening history, search queries, content interactions, session duration), general location (derived from your IP address, such as country or region), and technical data (IP address, browser type, crash reports).
Information from third parties
If you sign in using a third-party service (such as Sign in with Apple or Google), we receive basic profile information as authorized by that service. We do not receive or store your payment information—all subscription billing is handled by Apple or Google.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: provide and maintain the Service, personalize your experience (such as content recommendations based on listening history and your child’s age), communicate with you about your account and the Service, improve and develop new features, ensure the security of the Service, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not serve ads within the app.
4. How We Share Your Information
We may share your information with: service providers who help us operate the Service (such as hosting, analytics, and customer support providers), law enforcement or government authorities when required by law, and a successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. We do not share your personal data with advertisers or other third parties for their marketing purposes.
5. Children’s Privacy
WindowSeat takes the privacy of children seriously. Our Service is designed so that children access content through a parent or guardian’s account. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children under 13.
When a parent creates a child profile, we may collect the child’s first name and age to personalize the content experience (for example, showing age-appropriate stories). This information is provided and managed by the parent.
We collect usage data (such as what content is played) associated with child profiles for the purpose of improving recommendations. This data is linked to the parent’s account, not to an independently identifiable child.
Parents may review, update, or delete their child’s profile information at any time within the app or by contacting us at privacy@windowseat.com. Deleting the parent account will also delete all associated child profile data.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable timeframe, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to: access, correct, or delete your personal data, opt out of certain data processing, request a copy of your data in a portable format, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. If you reside in California, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal data we collect, request its deletion, and opt out of any sale of personal data (which we do not do).
