It’s important that our kids can listen to safe content, but we know ‘safe’ means different things to different people. As a parent you want to make informed decisions, so this is what ‘safe’ means to us.

Distribute on WindowSeat

All content must pass the following criteria:

It’s made for listeners ages 4–16

All the content on WindowSeat is safe and created for kids ages 4-16. However, this doesn’t mean all the content on WindowSeat is appropriate for the youngest listeners. Some stories may have intense scenes (e.g. an allegory on Christ’s crucifixion) so we do provide some recommended age guidelines.

It passes the Philippians 4:8 test

In Philippians 4:8, Paul cautions us to be intentional about what we let into our minds, and he provides specific guidelines to help us understand what that should be. Therefore, all the content on WindowSeat reinforces things that are true, noble, right, pure, and lovely.

No swearing or offensive language of any kind

Swearing and offensive language shows up much too frequently in media today—even within ‘family-friendly’ content—but we have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to this.

Biblical principles are celebrated

All content should reinforce and celebrate biblical principles like kindness, compassion, integrity, and forgiveness—and help listeners understand that these character traits are the ‘fruit’ that all followers of Jesus should see in their lives.

The content upholds traditional Christian values

The values Christians once held used to be commonly understood and those values are still the ones we hold at WindowSeat. Content that attempts to redefine traditionnal values will not be included.
