Goldtown Adventures

Roasted rattlesnakes! It’s 1864 and the California gold rush is over. But twelve-year-old Jem keeps his hopes alive of someday striking it rich, even though the gold in Cripple Creek has played out. Still, life is good for Jem and his younger sister Ellie. That is, until Pa becomes sheriff of lawless Goldtown. Jem now fears that every outlaw in the gold country will use Pa’s badge for target practice. Jem must learn to truth God in the midst of claim jumpers, collapsing mines, and other gold-camp dangers.
