In 1903 Montana, a young orphan named Theodora Prentice is undergoing the harshest Christmas in years. She lives with her Aunt and cousins, whose farm reaped a meager harvest, the money is running out, and her brother is rumored killed in an avalanche while mining in the Klondike. Despite it all, Theodora keeps faith that things will improve. And, she sacrifices her most prized possession in the hope of creating a Christmas miracle. This script was inspired by the 1909 story "Christmas at Red Butte" by LM Montgomery.
